Journal Challenge Week 5: Checking in
How is journaling going for you? Have you been able to establish a habit of doing it? Do you like having a set time to write and check in with yourself or maybe just write when you need to, when something is bothering you?
I’m now three weeks in as well and I’d give myself a solid B for completing this. It’s been tricky to find a consistent time daily, but I’ve generally enjoyed setting aside the time at the end of my days to sit on my front porch and write. Do I get distracted by neighbors walking their dogs? Yes. But I have been surprised to find I can refocus (after saying “hi” and petting said dogs) and that even the nights when I’m not using a prompt or don’t think I have anything to write about, I almost always find something. Something in the back of my mind that has been begging for a little space, an observation of myself or others that turns out to be quite telling, or even things I’ve put off thinking about or processing because doing I know they need a lot of time and space.
Week 5 Journal Prompt- Possibilities: What’s a visionary goal you have for your life? Or a wish that feels out of reach? What stands in the way? What would it take to make this happen? What does it feel like to think about this?
